Yeah - not the best time of year to work on the car outside.

When you get it started, what's the plan of attack on the to do list ?

i need to get a battery for it first...then its doing a simple tuneup...then taking it for a test drive to see what else it needs.

the steering i know is wonky...i think serious investment in steering bushings and tie rods/ball joints is in order.  other then that it should be pretty road safe.  the pass. floor needs to be welded since theres a hole, and any rust fixed, so i'll need someone with a welder and experience with it.  the seats needs to be bolted back to the floor, and the whole car needs to be primered and painted.  the int is trash too but nothing a seat cover and a blind eye won't fix for awhile.

the car has 111k miles on it, tranny shifts great, motor runs fine, exhaust is decent (though wimpy) and as far as i remember no other problems other than wandering steering.  brakes were redone right before we stopped driving it.

remember though that the car was last driven for my 17th birthday...five years ago lol.

If you can get it to start in the cold, then it will start anytime. Unless it has a water cooled carb. lol

you'd be able to weld the floor?  lol

restoring enough to drive for now...all the emblems are off but they're in the garage...maybe some slight mods to start...intake, exhaust, cosmetic mods etc...

i've been welding floor and body on my MG since i've gotten around to taking care of the rot... actually did a better job not burning off the good metal than my dad did...

(note that MG's were built on an island that rains alot and they're neither waterproof nor rust proof. and it shows)
